Date night in Dorset: top things to do this Valentine’s

Planning on whisking someone special away for a romantic stay on the River Stour? Here are just a few of our favourite activities to help make this Valentine’s one to remember.

Stroll along Bournemouth Beach

Sometimes life is all about those simple pleasures. On sunny, winter days, nothing beats a bracing walk along Bournemouth Beach. We recommend spending an hour or two strolling hand-in-hand soaking up the views before stopping for a fish and chip lunch on the shoreline. But keep an eye out for those pesky seagulls!

Schedule some time out in the spa

Valentine’s is all about spending quality time together, and where better to take a little time out than the CC Spa? Spend a few blissful hours making the most of our hydrotherapy pool with Jacuzzi, sit back and relax on our poolside loungers, and de-stress with one of our relaxing massages – bliss.

Cycle around the New Forest

If the weather’s kind, why not hire some bikes and enjoy a cycle around the New Forest? We can’t promise you’ll get a tandem to share, however, with plenty of stunning cycle routes to choose from, there’s nowhere better to soak up the sights and sounds of nature.

Watch the sun set over Christchurch Harbour

We know we’re biased, but as far as we’re concerned you can’t beat watching the sun set over Christchurch Harbour. The great thing about this time of year is that we’re blessed with some truly beautiful skies. And post-sunset cocktails are always a great idea too.

Be wined and dined at the Club Restaurant

If you can’t treat your better half to a top-notch meal on Valentine’s Day, then when can you? Luckily, our talented team have pulled out all the stops and put together a simply scrumptious menu for the occasion. Think oysters and Champagne on arrival, fillet steak, and dark chocolate cherry fondant to finish.
