Occupying the little ones can be a challenge, but Christchurch is filled with so many activities and attractions for them to explore. We’ve pulled together some of our favourites to help you plan – take a look below.
Adventure Wonderland
With over 30 rides and attractions, a delicious cafè with a huge selection of tasty snacks and some amazing special events hosted throughout the year, let the little ones go wild at one of Dorset’s top family attractions. Located opposite Bournemouth airport, this haven is only a 20-minute drive from Captain’s Club.
Mighty Adventures Crazy Golf
Discover this dinosaur world by the coast, perfect for all the family. Explore a Jurassic golf course and come face to face with life-size moving dinosaurs, waterfalls and even volcanoes. Once you’re done putting, you can take a look at their array of other activities. From gem mining and football to a 50-bay driving range it’s a great day out.
Mudeford Quay
Starting at the entrance of Christchurch harbour, this working quay looks out over spectacular views of the sea and Christchurch town. It’s an amazing place to take a stroll next to the water and watch the fishermen – not to forget the array of exciting events that take place throughout the year. For the children, there’s plenty to do including crabbing and a children’s play area to burn off some energy.
Watersports activity
The perk of a hotel right on the edge of the water is the huge array of watersports activities that are available. Right next to Captain’s Club, you can hire kayaks and paddleboards and travel down the River Stour. And if you’re more in the mood for a relaxing float, then you can easily hire a private boat or join a ferry cruise at Bournemouth Boating Services.
