Now that summer is well and truly on its way, there’s no better time to start thinking about how you can head outdoors and enjoy a little fresh air as the weather warms up. We’ve put together some of our favourite ways to enjoy Dorset during the summer months.

Dine alfresco

Overlooking beautiful riverside views, our gorgeous terrace is perfectly positioned for alfresco dining, whether you’re bringing the whole family or surprising someone special. Our menu is full of delicious classic dishes, including fish and chips, and temptingly sweet desserts, so you’ll have plenty of options to choose from.

Ride the waves

If you’re bringing your surfboard with you then we would recommend a trip to Bournemouth Beach, a popular spot with surfers and offering waves suitable for both beginners and experts. If you find Bournemouth beach to be a little busy, then venture a little further to Hycliffe Beach or Kimmeridge Bay, both of which are fantastic spots for catching waves.

See the sights

There are several beautiful spots dotted around Dorset that you may have already heard of, including the world-famous Durdle Door and Old Harry Rocks. On a beautiful sunny day, we recommend getting in the car and exploring some of these picture-perfect locations, which are best enjoyed with an ice cream (or two).

Relax on the beach

We’re lucky enough to be within each reach of Bournemouth’s four Blue Flag beaches, each offering beautiful golden sands, so you’ll always be able to find yourself a spot to relax and unwind. And with a selection of dog-friendly beaches available throughout the summer months, even your four-legged friend can enjoy a little time on the beach.

Ready to start planning your next escape to Dorset? Explore our stylish selection of rooms and suites, pick a date that works for you, and get ready to make incredible memories with your nearest and dearest.
