The ripple effect – inspired by the River Stour
The calming sounds of the running water, the view from our terrace (and coincidentally, all of our function rooms), the place we call home. We absolutely love the River Stour and had to look no further than the very banks we are perched on for one of our biggest sources of inspiration. We included several design features inspired by the flowing water of the river, including the new sides to our bar. This was achieved through a ripple effect on the side and blue LED lighting.
That’s how you make an entrance
Captain’s Club is a great place to drink a few cocktails, relax with friends, and prepare for an excellent night out. We decided to remove our maitre d’ stand to open up the entrance a bit more and provide a real wow factor when you walk in and see the newly branded bar.
What’s in a name?
So where did the Quay Bar name come from? We know our bar wouldn’t be what it is today without master mixologist and Bar Manager Tommo Quy, so he gave his name to the place he calls his second home! We adapted our ship wheel logo to match, and away we go.
Nautical navigation – the little touches
We wanted to move the colour scheme to something more muted. Inspired by neutral tones, with splashes of nautical colours, it’s the little features that really tie it all together. Two of our favourite features are this compass and the glass, cornerless living flame fire it sits above near our cosy seating area.
The finishing touch – you
Join us all day, each day until midnight at the newly refurbished Quay Bar and Lounge. Sample delicious cocktails from the incredibly talented Tommo, relax on our Tanqueray No. Ten Terrace with Peroni Bar, and watch the world float by on the River Stour. Cheers!
